For any active person, eating the right things and avoiding too much of other things is important to have enough energy and to be healthy. With kids, it is just as critical for them to learn this early as it is for them to learn that being active is important...and of course fun!
For some time now our coaches have had the ability to insert a nutritional mention into any of our many lesson plans and activities. Perhaps you've heard your child come home talking about these? To give this important aspect of being happy, active, and healthy more emphasis, for 2019 we are very happy to be introducing a complete weekly activity plan focused solely on Nutrition Fun!
During this class, we introduce different plush fruits and vegetables and integrate them into the active lesson plan for the entire time. This allows us to talk about healthy nutrition choices while moving and having fun with the physical activities for the week. We believe it is never too early to begin connecting being active with being properly nourished.
