Great for Kids
JumpBunch provides exercise that most children really should add to their lifestyle each week. At the same time, it is a subtle, fun, but very effective way to instill a healthy attitude towards sports and fitness that can serve children well throughout their lives. JumpBunch offers age-appropriate activities.
Introducing Sports
Preschool – In the early years, the JumpBunch environment is all fun and encouragement – there’s plenty of time for competition later. JumpBunch ensures that a child’s first sports experiences are positive, and it is the only way to expose kids quickly to a broad range of sports options. This introduction makes it much more likely that kids will have fun and succeed when they join their first organized team, or even as they choose up sides on the playground.
School-Age – The JumpBunch program remains focused on introducing a wide range of sports in a fun, sometimes competitive environment as kids get a little older. There is an added valuable emphasis on cooperation and team-oriented play at this level.
Exercise is Fun
Exercise helps build strong bones and muscles, and it helps kids sleep well at night and stay alert during the day. Healthy habits established early help adolescents maintain healthy weight through the hormonal changes and social influences of adolescence. And it has been proven that active children are more likely to become fit adults.
It is no secret that kids spend more time every year in front of a TV or computer. From working parents who just can’t spend time taking their kids to sports or encouraging outdoor activities, to video games and the constant attraction of television – children today lead a more sedentary lifestyle than ever before. In fact, over the past 30 years, this inactivity has caused the rate of child obesity to more than triple, leading to a dramatic increase in many long-term health problems, including the number of children with type 2 diabetes, a disease once limited to inactive, overweight adults.
Good for Body and Mind
While we often focus on our children’s mental development, we sometimes overlook further development of balance, eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. At the same time, there is a great connection between the mind and body – the immediate encouragement of simple physical successes can be extremely rewarding to young children and often provides an ideal balance to their normal daily activities.
